Living there while we work

Usually you can stay

Bathroom work and some extensions. There's manageable disruption, and floors and traffic areas are protected throughout.

Usually better to move out

A full renovation or major structural work. We'll tell you honestly before work begins, so you can plan around it.

When an old house surprises us

Older houses hide things that no survey fully anticipates: unexpected structure, redundant services, poor work from decades ago. When we find something, you hear about it straight away, with a clear explanation and a proposed solution. We never hide problems or leave them for you to deal with later.

“What really sets them apart is their ability to listen carefully and find practical, well-thought-out solutions, especially important when dealing with a 100-year-old house that can throw up all sorts of surprises.”Lynwood Grove client, Orpington
